Vice Principal

I am excited to begin my 23rd year in education and my fourth full year here in Stafford. After graduating from William Paterson University in 2000, I began my career in Television Production in New York City. In 2003, I discovered my true calling in education and started as an aide in a preschool autism class in Hawthorne. The following year, I began teaching 5th grade and later moved to 4th grade.
In 2008, I got married and returned to Ocean County—the place I’ve always considered home. I commuted to Hawthorne for a year before accepting a 5th grade teaching position in Toms River. In August 2012, I earned my Master’s degree in Education from The University of Scranton. After 13 years in Toms River, I was thrilled to join Stafford in April 2022 as a Supervisor.
I have been married for 17 years and am the proud parent of three children—a second grader, a fourth grader, and an eighth grader. Both my professional and personal experiences have given me valuable insight into working with this age group. I look forward to fostering a strong partnership between home and school to support our students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
I always welcome questions, concerns, suggestions, or ideas. You can reach me at rmeyer@staffordschools.org or 609-978-5700, extension 1183.
